What is the classification of generators?
According to the prime mover can be divided into turbine-generator, hydro-generator, diesel generator and gas generator. A turbo-generator USES fuel to change water into steam to drive a steam turbine, which then spins a generator to generate electricity. The water turbine generator USES the water flow to drive the turbine to rotate and then drives the generator to generate electricity. The diesel generator is driven by the diesel generator to generate electricity, while the gas turbine generator is driven by the high temperature gas generated by fuel combustion to drive the gas turbine to drive the generator to generate electricity. At present, large and medium-sized power plants are mostly used turbine-generator and water-turbine generator, diesel generator power is generally small, only in some special occasions, and gas turbine generator due to more complex technology, rarely used at present.
